Rainy, Cold and Pot Luck

It was 82 yesterday and today barely 50 and raining, whats up with that? I know its March what do I expect right? I was so thrilled yesterday it was sunny and warm and I sat by the water knitting and listening to a baseball game on the radio how perfect is that?! What a lovely spring day! Today it is more like winter again, but perfect weather for knitting. I wish I could. But it is Friday and we are having a pot luck lunch in the office today in honor of St. Patricks Day. I brought cabbage and potatoes. We also have corned beef, Irish soda bread, cheesy potatoes and two crock pots of chili. Don't know why or how chili got involved but it was a festive event nonetheless.
I got my Web yarn catalog yesterday. They have a ball winder and swift combo I think I am going to have to order.
I bought some more sock yarn day before yesterday too, yes in addition to the cotton plus I bought. This is DMC cotton wool. It looked like the right weight for socks. I found some in purple, which is a favorite color of a friend of mine who is re cuperating at home from surgery. I think they will cheer her up. I started the swatch last night and put that foresaken scarf to the side for the moment. It was really starting to get on my nerves last night.
This weekend is going to be wintery nasty too and I have class tomorrow morning for four hours that I do not feel like going. I need to go but I just do not feel like it.
I want to stay indoors and toasty warm and knit knit knit. Okay maybe a few other things but basically knit.
I'd like to get at least one sock done this weekend.
Also spend some quality time with Rosie, she is going for her second surgery on Tuesday. While the doctor feels better about this surgery than the last. There is always risk. But we are keeping good thoughts. More on that later.

Well, Happy St. Patricks day! Happy knitting!
